So another season comes to an end. Well, not totally, there are still some people on the slopes, seeking out the spring snow but the lifts are closing one by one and in a few days it will all be over. But what a season it’s been; surely one of the best with huge amounts of snow making for truly epic conditions both on- and off-piste.
The beauty of skiing is that it will always be back. Come November, it will start all over again as the first snow falls and everyone waits with bated breath for the lifts to open.
This year EasyJet trialled a new service to Geneva departing from Southampton. This was great for skiing in Verbier as it makes the connection between the south of England and Switzerland that much more accessible. Over the last year, around 10,000 people used the new service and so due to its success easyJet is running it again.
And whilst you may have just returned from Verbier, flights for next season are about to go on sale. We all know a trip to Verbier can set you back a fair bit, so when it comes to your flights and booking your chalet, it’s best to get in early. Our recommendation? Go and buy your flights as soon as they’ll let you! That way, you’ll be making some big savings.
We’re very excited for next year to come (of course, we have the summer months in Verbier first. They’re great too; just look at our last article, 28 Days Later). Doesn’t hurt to be excited about the next winter season though, does it? We love skiing and so do you.
