In mid June, a number of airlines confirmed that they had resumed flights to and from Switzerland, including those to the airport most frequently used on the route to Verbier, Geneva Airport. On June 15th, Swiss International Airline and EasyJet officially resumed their flights to Geneva and both stated that passengers will be able to board flights in Geneva, to reach other destinations around Europe. Swiss are running flights to destinations such as London, Faro and Amsterdam, among others, while long-haul flights to locations such as New York and Tokyo are also running multiple times per week.
In the case of EasyJet, the airline continues to run flights to Geneva post lockdown, having also resumed their services to the Swiss city in mid June. Like Swiss Swiss International Airline, EasyJet are also running flights from Geneva to a host of popular European places and are expanding on the re-opening of such flights as the weeks progress.
The resumption of flights in and out of Geneva is fantastic news for everyone associated with the resort of Verbier and some normality is starting to be restored in our beautiful village. On June 6th, summer ski lifts were opened to the public and will remain open until 25th of October. The confirmation of the re-opening of the ski lifts means that holidaymakers can plan their list of activities and experience all that Verbier, Le Châble and the surrounding areas has to offer. What’s more, Verbier Bike park lifts officially re-opened on July 6th, meaning visitors can make use of them seven days a week until 21st September. After that date, the bike park lifts will only be open on weekends.
