A couple of weeks ago we posted our exclusive interview with Polaris organiser, Raphael Nanchen. At the end, we promised our top 5 picks of the festival. And well, some time has passed now, so here they are:
Seth is one of the biggest names at Verbier. Known in the industry as a workaholic, he plays the only the best. Seth graced us in 2015, and wasn’t his set a good one – it had us dancing for hours!
Seth is a great DJ. He can get the least inclined crowd two-stepping all afternoon, evening, and morning (the next day that is). So, it goes without saying that a Troxler set is always enjoyable, no matter the setting. Well, how about a Troxler set in Verbier? Below is a clip of his set two years ago. The sights you get to see whilst watching sets is almost unfathomable.
In this current day, Mr. Fingers is mostly known nowadays for his song being sampled by the polarizing Kanye West (Fade). However, within the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) scene, Mr Fingers is a god amongst men. He revolutionized the scene; pioneering House music alongside Frankie Knuckles.
Mr Fingers and Frankie Knuckles had a healthy rivalry with resulted in House music being developed to such an extent where it still gets spins today. And we get him here in Verbier! What a delight!
Kenny Dope is going to get his crowd jumping so much that there might be an avalanche scare. When Kenny’s on, you better make sure you’ve got your drinks ready and stomachs full, as you will not want to leave the dancefloor.
His funky beats can implore the most boring man to buy a neon coloured clubbing outfit. Through the use of funky trumpets and seamless mixing, he instills the will to dance in all. Do not miss Kenny. If you do, you will regret it.
Ripperton’s music will hypnotize you. His seemingly never-ending loops will leave you in a zombie-like state; relentlessly dancing your time away. After his set, you’ll wonder where the last 45 minutes went. You won’t be unsatisfied, you’ll be hungry. Hungry for another chance to be that enthralled again.
MoM’s chill-funk beats will get you grooving. His understated, perhaps even sombre sound, make him a laidback auditory sensation. The sounds will act as a perfect side dish to the elegant beauty of these slopes.
To enjoy all of this you’ll need somewhere to lay your head, and that somewhere better be comfortable because you’re going to be tired! Why not book one of our holiday chalets? If you’re interested, get in contact with us now!
